Features
A lovely deep ruby colour with flashes of violet . An intense
nose with a combination of soft fruit , flowers and vanilla. On
the palate, the wine has a distinct texture, with powerful but
round tannins. A strong backbone with plenty of fullness. A really
long finish with a superb flourish of fruit.
This is an elegant wine, ideal for laying down, of considerable
distinction, made for the pleasure of wine-lovers.
The Latin name expresses the notion of foundation, but also of
historic continuity: Hortus deorum quo ortus est,
produced from the Garden of the Gods (garden of the gods, the
Celtic translation of Belin-Gaard). The Ortus
from Château Belingard symbolises to some extent our dream
of blending power and femininity.
